In Memory of Suri

Suri, hugely affectionate dog with eyebrows of endless expression and eyeliner borrowed from Cleopatra, left us on Nov 9th 2020. We’re so grateful for all the care and love she was shown at BAH.

She’d battle cancer for 6 months prior to her death – never with any complaint or distress – the most chilled dog I’ve ever known.

She leaves a huge hole at home but will always be fondly remembered at her happiest times – running free on Canon Beach or (somewhat less legally) through the woods in Golden Gardens. Her expressive eyebrows will stay with me the longest though – often quizzical, sometimes concerned. How much she could convey and how much more was to be conveyed if only we could have understood her better! She captured my heart from the first day we saw her at the Seattle Animal Shelter and she will remain its gentle captor for many years to come.
