In Memory of Samuel Longhorne Clemens

It’s taken me a while to write this, but I wanted to thank the staff at Ballard Animal Hospital, especially Dr Berry for her unrelenting and compassionate care. We just received a notification from Seattle Humane Society that you donated to them in Mr. Clemens’s name, which made both Jon and I so surprised and grateful to get the thank you letter. Mr. C was also a rescue cat, and we’re so happy to see that a gift in his memory will be helping out other animals in need.

Attached is one of my favorite photos of Mr. Clemens. It was less than a year after we got him, and we had just purchased a 7’ cat tower for him to climb on. Of course he loved the box a lot more. He was such a talkative kitty, and was missing one of his bottom canines. I love how this photo captures his sassy, curious personality so well.
