In Memory of Willa

RIP, sweet Willa. You were THE PERFECT dog! You were a little finicky about how you were touched, but oh…. that made us want to love you more!! You weren’t the belly rub girl. You were the communicator. You Chewy-Chewbacca-ed your way through life, letting us know what you thought about pretty much everything. Your howl was neighborhood renowned. Your dance moves (especially when you were ready to eat) were family renowned. Your sweet, undemanding disposition was such a wonderful addition to our home. You were the dog of simple pleasures, and today you sat outside in the sun with your nose in the air and enjoyed your last day to the fullest. Oh how I will miss you, sweet girl.

Below is a link to her howl, which (in her younger years) she let loose on every time a siren went by… which was a lot. It’s the most amazing sound. You won’t believe it’s coming from a dog! Here’s to you, Willa:
